WEEK 5: PROBLEM STATEMENT

OBJECTIVE

1. Find out what is the main reasons to do this project.
2. Discover why this project can be helpful and reliable to the world.
3. Set the problem statement for my Final year project.

METHODOLOGY

1. Finding the main reasons why must develop this type of project from internet.
2. Research past thesis or journals about their problem statement related to this project.
3. Consult supervisor regarding the project's problem statement.
4. Find out what is the flaws from the past researcher project.
5. Design a suitable problem statement from all information obtained.

RESULT

After a few effort done following the methodology I have successfully find a suitable problem statement for my Final year project. The problem statement is as below.

For a certain type of disaster such building collapsing, bridge falling or any disaster related to this, if somebody trap in the disaster, there are some areas or places that cannot be enter by rescuer. A small type robots could help the rescuer to locate disaster victims. some method using wheel robot but this kind of robot is not versatile enough to go through difficult terrain. Therefore, a small 4-legged robot that crawl can go through this difficult area

 ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION

From the result obtained, I have finally found a suitable problem statement for my Final year project. This problem statement however its still not completely satisfied. I will work again on my problem statement to achieve greater standing about my project. In the mean time, this problem statement will be use for now on my Final year project.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, this week objective is achieved with the help of internet and my supervisor. My project now finally meet its problem statement and I can continue with the next procedure of my project.

WEEK 4: REGISTERED BLOG

OBJECTIVE

1. Design a blog about my Final year work project.
2. Register the blog with supervisor.

METHODOLOGY

1. Design a blog using blogspot.com website.
2. Choose a suitable template and theme for readers easy to read and understand.
3. Insert all the information have from week 1 until week 3.
4. Consult supervisor if there is any correction that need to be fix.
5. Meet supervisor at his office or class to register blog.

RESULT

A blog have been design using blogspot with title "4-legged Spider Robot. All the information collected from week 1 until week 3 have been insert and reported in the blog. On Tuesday 13th February, I meet sir Zaki at his class to register my blog about my FYP.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the objective for week 4 is achieve completely.

WEEK 3: REGISTER TITLE

OBJECTIVE

To meet sir Zaki to register project title.

METHODOLOGY

1. Meet sir Zaki at his office to register project title.

RESULT

On Monday 5th February, I registered my project as fyp student under sir Zaki. Thus, he is now become my supervisor.

ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION

By performing my title registration with sir Zaki, therefore he now became my supervisor for my FYP subject. 

CONCLUSION

The objective is easily achieve since the title already come up on week 2. Thus, I can conclude that week 3 objective is done.

WEEK 2: SEARCH TITLE

OBJECTIVE

1. Find a project for my degree Final Year Project. 
2. Find a suitable title for my degree Final Year Project.

METHODOLOGY

1. Consult supervisor for advises or ideas regarding my fyp project.
2. Find a suitable project related to renewable energy or robotic using internet, books or past fyp students project.
3. Find a suitable title for the project.

RESULT

After following the methodology, I have finally found a suitable project for my fyp. The project is about developing a 4 legged spider robot. After consulting my supervisor about the title I get is "DEVELOPMENT OF QUADRUPED ROBOT USING INTERNET of THINGS (IoT) PLATFORM".

ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION

The project of my FYP are set with the advice of my supervisor. It take about less than a week to find a project since my supervisor already tell me to find a project related to RE or robotics thus it make easier for me to find any project regarding those two elements. The title of my project also achieve with the help of my supervisor.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion both of my objective for my 2nd week of my Final Year Project is achieve.

WEEK 1 : MEET SUPERVISOR

OBJECTIVE

1. Find a supervisor for my degree Final Year Project. 
2. Find a supervisor among electrical lecturer.

METHODOLOGY

1. Asking any lecturer at UniKL BMI electrical section on the first week.
2. Asking friends if there is any other section lecturer that can take student for fyp subject.
3. Asking lecturer that teach subject taken for this semester.

RESULT

On tuesday 23rd Jan, a lecturer of subject Renewable Energy inform to my class about his empty slot for student who want to take fyp subject with him. Without hesitation, I ask him that I want to take fyp subject with him. As a result he will take me with a condition that he wanted me to find a project within next week so he can register to be my fyp supervisor.

CONCLUSION

I have met an electrical lecturer to be my supervisor even though I still need to find a title for my project by the next week. Thus both of my objective for week 1 is achieve.
