WEEK 5: PROBLEM STATEMENT

OBJECTIVE

  1. Find out what is the main reasons to do this project.
  2. Discover why this project can be helpful and reliable to the world.
  3. Set the problem statement for my Final year project.
METHODOLOGY
  1. Finding the main reasons why must develop this type of project from internet.
  2. Research past thesis or journals about their problem statement related to this project.
  3. Consult supervisor regarding the project's problem statement.
  4. Find out what is the flaws from the past researcher project.
  5. Design a suitable problem statement from all information obtained.
RESULT

After a few effort done following the methodology I have successfully find a suitable problem statement for my Final year project. The problem statement is as below.

For a certain type of disaster such building collapsing, bridge falling or any disaster related to this, if somebody trap in the disaster, there are some areas or places that cannot be enter by rescuer. A small type robots could help the rescuer to locate disaster victims. some method using wheel robot but this kind of robot is not versatile enough to go through difficult terrain. Therefore, a small 4-legged robot that crawl can go through this difficult area

 ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION

From the result obtained, I have finally found a suitable problem statement for my Final year project. This problem statement however its still not completely satisfied. I will work again on my problem statement to achieve greater standing about my project. In the mean time, this problem statement will be use for now on my Final year project.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, this week objective is achieved with the help of internet and my supervisor. My project now finally meet its problem statement and I can continue with the next procedure of my project.
